Over 25 Years of Flipping Louisville Kids!
Ingrid Bojanowski, owner of Kentucky Gymnastics Academy,
opened the business in 1981. She had been the Gymnastics Director
at the St. Matthews YMCA for ten years and was ready for a
facility which was uniquely designed for gymnastics. (I.E.
a place where you didn't have to set up and take down the
equipment every day!) She wanted to offer children in the
Louisville area the type of gymnastics experience she had
while growing up in Germany. Her love for gymnastics combined
with her gift for teaching children provided the foundation
for a successful business.
For thirteen years, Kentucky Gymnastics Academy was located
on Chamberlain Lane, in the Jefferson Trade Center. Thirteen
years without air conditioning!! The gym was small, but the
instructional quality was superb, and the company grew.
In 1994, Kentucky Gymnastics Academy moved into a "just
for gymnastics" building in the Eastpoint Business Center,
just outside of Anchorage. An addition in 1999 allowed Kentucky
Gymnastics Academy to become a multi-purpose facility, offering
a day care, an academic pre-school, and other activities in
addition to gymnastics. The summer of 2007 will bring a move
to a smaller, gymnastics-only facility once again.
Today Ingrid Bojanowski continues as CEO and President of
the company. Her daughter, Tina Bojanowski Salameh, is Operations
Manager. And maybe, one day in the future, her grandchildren
Michael, Brandon, and Maria Salameh will take leadership roles
in the company!
We invite you to join the Kentucky Gymnastics family. Our
